I'm pretty sure one of the reasons why they made Hitman 2 was because Hitman 1 didn't get the sales they wanted because it said season 1 on it. It confused people making them uncertain to buy it or not so they released Hitman 2 getting rid of the whole season thing
In my opinion I think we'll get a another Hitman sometime after next-gen releases
