As much as he deserves to have his memory wiped just like he did to 47, I think leaving him to potentially eventually regain his memory just like 47 did could be dangerous. Like what if Edwards managed to reverse his memory and then tried to enact revenge, or use his influence to try and form another secret organization? No, he's better off dead honestly
