.54 Pistol, in real-life known as PSM (Pistolet Samozaryadny Malogabaritny - Self-loading Compact Pistol) is a 5.45x18mm Russian-built handgun issued to Spetsnaz agents for concealed carry. The weapon appears only in Hitman 2: Silent Assassin.
Description[]
It fires a lightweight, small diameter bullet that has a steel core and is capable of piercing some Kevlar body armor vests. It is sometimes confused with the Soviet Makarov PM pistol (9x18mm), while they look a little bit similar they are two completely different handguns.
Availability[]
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin[]
The PSM is available during two levels, making it one of the rarer weapons of the game. It is carried by a soldier at one of the roadblocks in the mission St. Petersburg Stakeout, and by the Spetsnaz agent in Invitation to a Party. Once acquired, it will appear in the weapon shed.

Trivia[]
- The actual pistol's name is PSM 5.45x18mm. The PSM was popular with the KGB and the Militsiya (Police) and higher echelon Communist party members.
- In real life, the PSM pistol has an 8 round magazine
- The pistol is erroneously named .54 which essentially means it is .54 of an inch (>12.7mm) in caliber, a bigger caliber than 47's Silverballers (.45/11.43mm). The misconception stems from the actual round size of 5.45mm, or .221 of an inch.
