The 1945 Grand Paladin is a valuable wine and melee weapon obtainable in HITMAN™ III. In addition to its use as a weapon, it can be used to gain access to the villa basement if the Herald's meeting has been called and the player has acquired the sommelier's disguise.

Trivia[]
- Acquiring the wine bottle completes the challenge A Vintage Year.
- If asked to bring the wine to the meeting with the Heralds, the sommelier Kenneth Flowers can be overheard voicing his displeasure, likening drinking the 1945 Grand Paladin to writing a shopping list on the Mona Lisa and, paraphrasing Oscar Wilde, describes men like Yates as "knowing the price of everything, and the value of nothing".
- The vintage is exquisitely rare in that only a small number of bottles actually exist. Bottled in the closing days of World War II, only 300 bottles were produced in that year due to summer hail and frost destroying most of the crops, and when the villa it was produced in was accidentally bombed, only a single crate containing twelve bottles of the vintage survived. The crate, in turn, was loaded onto a Carlisle Group freight ship, which later sank in the South China Sea. When it was recovered, only five bottles were raised intact, with one bottle being sold to Sheik Omar Al-Ghazali for six hundred thousand dollars, while the others were quietly obtained by the Ark Society, thanks to treasure hunters Sophia and Zoe Washington. One of the remaining bottles was eventually gifted to Don Yates by Byron Washington III, ostensibly as a reward for winning an unspecified court case, and it is now kept at his vineyard, Viñeda Yates.
- While posing as the sommelier and presenting the wine to the Herald meeting, 47 describes the wine as having amazingly complex aromas, with long savory layers of fruit and spice flavors, as well as a silky texture.
- Killing Yates using a poisoned glass of the vintage completes the challenge To Loyalty.
- It appears to be based on the 1945 Romanee-Conti wine, which has a very similar background and fame for its price and rarity.
