Walkthrough[]
To complete the challenge, the player should pick up the mind erasure serum syringe in the final train car and wait 47 seconds as Arthur Edwards awaits his fate. Eventually, Arthur Edwards will speak, urging Agent 47 to inject the serum into himself and once again become an assassin, after which the option to do so will appear. After 47 injects himself, Edwards will thank the player and Agent 47 will become disoriented and pass out, waking up in a sanatorium room and unlocking a secret ending to the game.
Trivia[]
- This secret ending is one of three possible resolutions to the level Untouchable, and, by extension, the entire World of Assassination Trilogy. The other two options are to kill Arthur Edwards or to inject him with the serum, both of which will complete the destruction of Providence, as Diana intended. Agent 47 will then halt the train and leave.
- The challenge's icon is a picture of the interior of the cell in which Agent 47 will awaken after passing out.
- The locked, padded room that 47 awakens in resembles the sanatorium room where Agent 47 awoke in the very first game of the franchise. Likewise, Edwards' dialogue, heard over the intercom, consists of the first spoken lines in the first game, making them the both first and last lines in the franchise should the player choose this ending. "Father" in this usage refers to Edwards as a new father figure for 47, replacing Dr. Ort-Meyer who raised and trained 47 at the Institute for Human Betterment, and the closest thing to a parent that 47 had.
