Icon-Elusive Target

Adeze Oijofor (also known as Nne Obara and "The Warlord") was an Elusive Target featured in HITMAN™. She appeared in the mission Club 27.

Background[]

Adeze Oijofor, operating under the nom de guerre "Nne Obara", is a bloody-handed warlord who controls a sizable chunk of the rare earth trade in East Africa. Over a past sixteen months, a French telecoms company has been making aggressive inroads in areas she control, with some success.

ICA information indicates that the target has withdrawn her paramilitaries to neighboring nations, as a part of a Fabian strategy. Her security is handled by a former Vlakplaas veteran, with whom we believe Oijofor has more than a professional relationship. Although, information to this effect is circumstantial at best.

Her weakest link is her son, Kalu Oijofor. His education at Oxford and connections with the UK have allowed the ICA to track her to her current location in Bangkok. Neither the son nor the security chief are targets, however.

It seems highly likely that Oijofor will have a very sizable paramilitary unit either at the hotel or very close by.

Personality[]

Adeze Oijofor is very observant, as she is on the lookout for any potential assassins, and has stayed in the Himmapan Hotel already for over a month. Therefore, she will see through any disguise except for 47's suit and waiter disguises, making her almost a super-enforcer in the mission. There is an opportunity being presented in the game where 47, posing as a waiter, can mix and poison her Bloody Mary cocktail when she visits the restaurant.

Adeze is extremely protective of her son, Kalu Oijofor, and doesn't approve of his relationship with a schoolmate named Sarah Cabel. In a conversation with one of her bodyguards, she will suggest having Sarah killed to show Kalu that the world is a dangerous place. She reprimands Kalu in the hotel's master bedroom during their conversation.

Whenever she goes to the rooftop's balcony, she will be standing beside the fountain, as she calls Richard Ekwensi during a phone call, likely to offer the services of her private army in return for help dealing with the French company.

Trivia[]

  • Adeze Oijofor is canonically assassinated before Richard Ekwensi, where in his contract, he correctly guesses that she was assassinated as someone knew the two were to meet at the hotel and suspects that his enemies are coming for him next.
    • Dialogue from Richard reveals that her cause of death was ruled to be a heart attack, although he correctly believes it to be an assassination.
  • Her Target UI Reference is identical with the same cocktail she drinks, which is Bloody Mary.
  • She is one of the two Elusive targets with a pen name, the other being Jack Roe a.k.a. Jakob Ro.
  • Her blazer color, starting in HITMAN™ 2, was changed from pink to silver in-game.
  • A security officer constantly checks the safe in her room containing the USB files with her asset data. If 47 has stolen the USB, the officer will be alerted by the empty safe and a Target Lockdown will be triggered.
  • Adeze drops a safe key when she is pacified or killed, that can be used to open the safe inside the hotel's security room without raising any suspicion, only when either disguised as a Military Soldier or a Military Officer.
  • A unique machete can be found inside her suite. It can be unlocked for use outside of the elusive target contract by gaining Mastery in Bangkok.
