Allison Moretta (also known as "The Ascensionist") is a confidence artist and an Elusive target in HITMAN™ III. She appeared in the mission On Top of the World.

Biography[]

Initially no more remarkable that any other navy brat, Allison Moretta came into her particular skillset by reinventing herself each time she transferred schools. When her family life finally settled, Moretta didn't leave her rolodex of personas behind. She realized she could apply these skills to insert herself into more desirable circumstances and lives than her own with much less effort than working her way up honestly through tedious desk jobs and references.

Her first known kill was an executive assistant whose deep involvement in her employer's life made her a perpetual obstacle in Moretta's efforts. Rather than being an uncharacteristic loss in control, this murder only emboldened her further. She became less likely to flee when a situation turned, electing in many cases to simply eliminate troublesome individuals in whatever way was most convenient to her current scheme.

Being adept at of mirroring people's own qualities back to them, Moretta ingratiates herself as a kindred spirit to those in positions to improve her lifestyle or image. She transfers whatever assets she can access, disposes of any obstacles (living or otherwise), and disappears into a fresh alias when the time comes. Unlike the typical con-artist, her ambitions are more complicated than accumulation of wealth; to Moretta, assets are only a means to an end. Her goal is to found an art gallery and move in the privileged spaces of dealers, collectors and true connoisseurs. She has spent much of her adult life maneuvering herself closer to this goal, and she is now on the precipice of achieving it.

Known aliases include: Ann Maurice, Alice Moretz, Emily Ansel

Description and Behavior[]

Allison Moretta starts at the atrium hall watching the inaugural opening ceremony of the Burj Al-Ghazali together with her client and next mark, Charles Chuck Ogilvy, a millionaire painting collector. Allison suggests moving to the VIP lounge, where she drinks a cup of tea. Despite her seemingly polite nature, she makes several veiled comments about killing Charles and stealing his assets, even convincing him to update his will.

Allison will then head to the bathroom, where she is spotted by Victoria Chang, another client of hers who knows her by the alias Ann Maurice. She briefly adopts a southern accent and states she's been too busy to get back to Victoria regarding her uncle's mysterious death. When in the bathroom, she will panic about her cover being blown and decides to play it off as a chance encounter. Once she heads back to the VIP lounge, both of them will make their way to the penthouse reception. Discovering that her name isn't on the guest list, she will call her assistant for help. The receptionist's laptop can be used to update the list. Otherwise, her assistant will give her access after two phone calls. Once inside the penthouse suite, she takes a look at the art on display.

If Charles is subdued or killed, Allison will deduce that her cover's been blown and try to escape using the atrium lobby's elevators. If she isn't eliminated in 10 seconds, the mission will fail. If Allison is either pacified or killed, she will drop a Penthouse Keycard.

Personality[]

Although she appears to be a charming and caring person, Allison is a master manipulator and blackmailer. She is intelligent and cunning, being able to adopt personalities similar to her clients and vanishing once she's stolen from them. She is also very observant, since she will try to evacuate if anything happens to Charles.
