Amelia Bark, also known as the Jogger, is the featured recurring target in all three levels of The Sloth Depletion Escalation in HITMAN™ III.
Description[]
She is an optional target to eliminate whenever the escalation is being played. Eliminating or pacifying the jogger helps enable Agent 47 restore his vitality and for his vitality meter to be replenished for up to 99% while playing the escalation.
Completing the optional objective will bring the player's vitality meter in a stable manner.
Routes[]
The Jogger will be running around orderly on the grounds of Thornbridge Manor, specifically in the following areas:
- In front of the Manor's exterior foyer
- Near the Library's windows
- At the patio outside the common bathroom
- Down the stairs outside the trophy room
- Southwest to northwest of the main gardens
- The greenhouse's exterior to its north
- Northeast to southeast of the main gardens
- Up the stairs outside the dining room
- Near the windows of the kitchen and Mr. Fernsby's office
- Back to the Manor's exterior foyer
Personality[]
Amelia in instinct mode is marked as color red even if the player has not yet completed an objective, despite being an optional target. Either way, it is still best to either pacify or kill her only when all objectives in the gameplay are completed.
She tends to pant and complain a lot whenever she stops, saying that she still has a long way to run through.

Trivia[]
- The Tortoise and The Hare is actually a reference from one of Aesop's Fables, telling how perseverance can beat speed. In the gameplay, the Jogger represents the Hare, while Agent 47 represents the Tortoise.
- She is one of the unique NPCs in the game that will not suspect the player from carrying visible illegal items but can compromise the player when doing illegal actions during the gameplay. She can also listen to distractions, such as coins being thrown and bullets being fired from silent pistols.
- Originally, her name in the target intel was only "The Jogger", however, it was changed to "Amelia Bark" during the patch 3.70 update. Her name is also revealed when paused at the start of the escalation.
- Getting low vitality will give the jogger even more adrenaline to run around the manor, and make it more challenging for the player to eliminate or even pacify her.
