The Andaman Sea is a marginal sea of the northeastern Indian Ocean bounded by the coastlines of Myanmar and Thailand along the Gulf of Martaban and west side of the Malay Peninsula, and separated from the Bay of Bengal to its west by the Andaman Islands and the Nicobar Islands. Its southern end is at Breueh Island just north of Sumatra, with the Strait of Malacca further southeast.
The fictional Ambrose Island lies in the Andaman Sea, the setting for the Shadows in the Water mission in HITMAN™ 2.

- Along with the North Atlantic, it is the second body of water to be listed as a "country" for its respective locale in the Destinations menu.
- Ambrose Island is the only map in the Hitman franchise that is on the Andaman Sea. The map is covered with forests, ravines, and mountains. While also housing a population of about 150 citizens.
- There is no law enforcement, instead it is substituted with Pirates.
- Numerous ships and cargo ships can be seen in the ocean surrounding Ambrose.
- Shadows in The Water takes place late at night.
