Andrea Martínez (also known as The Face) is a minor character in the HITMAN™ mission The Showstopper. She later appears as one of Agent 47's targets in the HITMAN™ 2 mission Three-Headed Serpent.
Background[]
Fernando Delgado honored his friend's wishes and sent Andrea to America to get an education. She returned to Chile in 2002, living at the Delgado villa for a few months before moving to Santiago where she met up with Rico Delgado and formed a friendship with him. Determined to honor her father's wish and her uncle's expectations, she got a job in the advertising industry and worked there for a couple of years as a marketing executive. But, tragedy struck as Fernando Delgado and his son were killed in an apparent accident in 2004. The effective dismantling of the cartel following their deaths, however, brought back the specter of the past and Martinez realized that some hidden hand was behind the deaths. Worried for her life, she fled Chile and ended up in Colombia with Rico Delgado and his brother Hector.
Together, the trio started what would eventually become the reformed Delgado Cartel - quickly starting a new business and getting Martinez's hands dirty by creating a series of legal fronts for what would quickly grow into a substantial criminal empire.
A vital part of Delgado's organization, Andrea Martínez travels the world under a range of assumed identities, expanding the business and making sure everything runs smoothly. Where Rico Delgado is responsible for the trafficking side of the business, Martinez is responsible for the business side of things. She engages in the bribing of officials, extortion and information gathering that ensures the other cartels are kept in check, and she keeps the public eye away from Rico Delgado, through her magnificent skilled at spinning stories and extorting people based on the information she gathers through networks like IAGO.Personality[]
Andrea Martínez, the most well-adjusted of the Delgado cartel leadership, is the amiable face of the cartel, portraying them as a philanthropic enterprise. However, she is an immoral woman who seeks to develop the cartel's resources. Unlike brutal killer Rico Delgado and drug chemist Jorge Franco, Andrea shows some morality - she regrets that her relationship with Hector Delgado ended badly, and reminisces on their relationship after reading his letter. She also accepts requests from her workers, such as when a construction worker asks for a raise to compensate him for his hard work. She also appears to be the only one of the three who truly cares about the well-being of citizens, as she is doing her best to help them, though still assisting Rico's whims.
Andrea feeds things and people she doesn't like to the piranhas. She states it would be better to feed the letter from Hector to the piranhas and two cartel soldiers are sure she would feed them to the piranhas if they didn't ask the shaman to go and help her. Ironically, she herself can be fed to the piranhas by pushing her off the balcony when she reads Hector's letter. In Paris, while speaking with Dalia Margolis it appears Andrea might be a misandrist as she states that "all men" are the same and none of them are normal.
If she is held at gunpoint, she will try to downplay her role in the cartel while begging to be spared.
Behind the Scenes[]
In the leaked 2015 build of HITMAN™, in The Showstopper, the appearance of Andrea is very similar while also different compared to her final game appearance. For instance, she was to originally wear sunglasses as the event with her hair being a bit longer sported with a ponytail. Her shirt and skirt didn't have any stripes on them as well. Aside from this not much else changed as her outfit is identical to her final game appearance. z
Initially, Andrea had her own personal male bodyguard as well in the leaked build(s) and was even a buyer/participant for the IAGO auction. However the concept of Andrea having a male bodyguard was scrapped later in development including the concept of her being an auction buyer, her ultimate replacement for the auction is Yseult Boisclair with Yseult having her own personal bodyguard as well. Dialogue between her and her frenemy, Nelle Brent was present in HITMAN™ and HITMAN™ 2 however remained unused in HITMAN™ 3 for unknown reasons.

Trivia[]
- In The Showstopper, she will thank Dalia Margolis for her help in restoring glory to the Delgado name against their rivals, the Moreno Cartel.
- It is unknown if this is alluding to the incident in which IAGO had provided their cartel the flight plans to shoot down president Hernandez from the level's briefing.
- She will have a conversation with Nelle Brent in HITMAN™ and HITMAN™ 2, stating she respected her and was aware of what she does. Then stated she wanted her to be a "frenemy" as being enemies was "time consuming".
- She also tells Dalia Margolis that Rico Delgado wants to marry her, even though he is married to Catalina Delgado already.
- Martínez's face is different to how she appears in Three-Headed Serpent, notably having larger eyebrows, different facial features, and lacking her mole. This has been changed in the Legacy Pack, where her face is identical to her appearance in Three-Headed Serpent.
- Martínez's model is an edit of one used by a guest in Guided Training.
- Don Fernando Delgado was Andrea's uncle according to her in-game profile, which would make Hector and Andrea cousins (albeit possibly only step-cousins, if Andrea's father married into the Delgado family after Andrea was born).
- Martinez is one of only six targets in the World of Assassination trilogy to physically appear in more than one mission, along with Janus, Arthur Edwards and the judges in the Dartmoor Garden Show (Lucy Philips, Sebastian Sato and Cornelia Stuyvesant).
- Martínez is mentioned by two partygoers near the asado pit in The Farewell.
