Following the events in England, Agent 47 has escaped to Berlin, where he plans to meet up with Olivia Hall. At their arranged meeting point, Olivia contacts 47 via phone, to warn him that a group of ICA agents are currently tracking them. The agents have pursued Olivia to Club Hölle, a nightclub operating out of a disused power plant.
47 must infiltrate the club, and identify and eliminate as many ICA Agents as he can, to force their handler, Jiao, to call off their attack.

Escalation Contracts[]
There are currently five escalation contracts available in Berlin, two of which are only available by purchasing DLC:
* Only available in the World of Assassination Deluxe Edition, or sold seperately in the WOA Deluxe Pack or Hitman 3 Deluxe Pack.
† Only available in the World of Assassination Deluxe Edition, or sold seperately in the WOA Deluxe Pack, Seven Deadly Sins Collection or Seven Deadly Sins Act 4: Lust.
Elusive Targets[]
This is a list of Elusive Targets available in Berlin, with reactivations occuring during HITMAN™ III.
Target Lockdown[]
Since all the targets are armed, they act like guard NPCs and will thus engage 47 when alerted and won't evacuate or lockdown. However, once 5 Agents are eliminated, any that are left and conscious will leave via the northern or western roads, which are ideal spots for springing an ambush on them or laying traps if you don't want to leave survivors.
Trivia[]
- Agent Price will be encountered after the cutscene of 47 calling Olivia Hall. He only appears if the player begins the mission from the default Bus Stop Starting Location.
- While the mission stipulates that 5 agents must be eliminated before exfiltrating, the remaining agents can be optionally eliminated without penalty.
- Having the evacuation order sent out while Montgomery is meeting with 47 will cause any other agents in the room to T-pose.
- The agents are not marked on the map or in Instinct Mode. Instead, 47 must find an agent--generally an enforcer--and approach them, at which point the agent will speak into his earpiece confirming them as an agent and marking them as a target. Additionally, 47 will say aloud the agent's name to himself once this is confirmed.
- From the second playthrough, except when the player begins the mission from the default Bus Stop starting location, all agents are already marked red as usual targets in maps and Instinct Mode, eliminating the needs for 47 to approach and identify them.
- Along with Patrick Morgan from The Sarajevo Six and Noel Crest, this is one of three missions in the entire World of Assassination where the targets are armed and are willing to attack 47, as opposed to running away and requesting help.
- This is the first mission not to have an actual target, instead a group of ICA Agents.
- This mission also has the third highest target count in the franchise, totaling eleven potential targets the player can eliminate. The second is Requiem with 12 and the first is The Splitter with 14.
- This is also one of the few missions in the entire Hitman franchise where the targets would eventually lose their Target status under certain circumstances, namely the elimination of the Agents quintet.
- In biology, an apex predator occupies the top of the food chain in its ecosystem and has no predators of its own. The title Apex Predator is a play on the fact that the agents, typically hunters or "predators" when on missions, are now prey to 47, who is at the top of the figurative food chain.
- Similarly, the thumbnail image representing the level shows Agent 47 at the top of a long set of stairs, as he is the top agent and assassin in the agency and, indeed, in the entire world.
- Despite being extraordinarily loud and dimly lit, the dance floor does not impede the hearing of NPCs, who will react normally to audio and visual distractions. Similarly, the low-light and large crowd do not seem to provide the player any cover for illegal actions.
- The location is likely to be based on the MMA Club, a night club which was located in an old power plant (but not a nuclear one).
- If you kill all the NPCs in the map, Jiao will say some unique dialogue.[2]
- This is map has a unique quality in Hitman 3, in which guard disguises are permitted to openly carry Sniper Rifles without raising suspicions. Presumably this is because a guard in an upper floor of biker's section operates a sniper rifle (which he will use against the player, should the player enter his line of sight.)
- This trait is also shared with Mendoza, where a sniper team is stationed in the silo.
- One of the most bizarre Easter Eggs in the entire series occurs if the golden idol from the manager's safe (with "1989" granting access to the aforementioned contents) is taken to the swampy area near the parking lot. The chair by the edge of the small pond will now be shrouded in mist and lit with an unearthly glow, and a faint outline of the idol appears on the chair's surface. If the idol is placed on the chair, the idol will vanish in a flash and the option to sit will appear, after which a creature will rise from the water and talk to the player in a menacing, distorted voice. The creature identifies itself as an agent of "Interzone", which was a setting in the fiction of American "beat generation" writer William S. Burroughs, and the beast's monologue mimics the surreal nature of Burroughs' stories. Drugs played a major role in his personal life and his fiction alike, so this sequence may be intended as parody of both Burroughs and the drug-altered minds of the club guests.
- The title of the challenge "There Was a Fire Fight!" likely refers to a line of dialogue in the 1999 vigilante action movie The Boondock Saints, where a rather mentally unhinged character is dramatically and emotionally describing how a gun battle unfolded.
