Assassin techniques are a new feature of Hitman: Absolution. These techniques act as a system of upgrades for Agent 47s abilities. New techniques can be unlocked, and acquired techniques can be upgraded by acquiring "target" scores within missions. Each additional upgrade increases Agent 47s effectiveness.
There are 10 different techniques each with 3 ranks, meaning there are 30 techniques to unlock, there are over 30 scored stages, so the player can unlock all the techniques even if they never reach the score target in a few checkpoints, they are unlocked in a set line, meaning the player can unlock "later" techniques by replaying an earlier mission they failed to reach the score target on.
