Dame Barbara Elizabeth Keating (also known as "The Politician") is an Elusive Target in HITMAN™ 2.

Much later, she made a foray into politics and was eventually appointed Minister of Trade and Foreign Affairs in her adopted homeland, before being given the honorary title Dame Barbara by the queen.
At the height of her powers, however, the newly-minted Dame became engulfed in a scandal and was forced to step down from her post. A charity she represented benefitting the homeless was found to have funneled donations into Dame Barbara's own offshore holdings. To minimize the damage to herself, she drew on tabloid contacts and orchestrated an elaborate smear campaign against the director of the charity, a renowned but fragile poet and social organizer by the name of Jacqueline Vicar. The director was depicted as a blackmailer and conspirator, who aimed to entrap Dame Barbara in a scheme to pay off the mounting costs of Vicar's own private vices. Shortly thereafter, the director was involved in a conspicuously timed car accident, officially (and publicly) considered a suicide.
Now a somewhat more paranoid (and significantly more cautious) Dame Barbara is preparing for her political comeback, with help from an uncanny body double.Routes[]
Dame Barbara Elizabeth Keating starts the mission in the house's office. She can be found typing her unfinished speech on a laptop in the office along with her bodyguard leader. While she is at the office, her body double practices an alternate speech in the kitchen. From time to time, she occasionally goes to the northwest balcony for a cigarette, beside a gas heater lamp that can be sabotaged.
Barbara will occasionally eat from a bowl of peanuts on the kitchen table, after the two interact with one another, checking on her body double with her notes. Her body double will also be going near the bedroom and will eventually talk to the bodyguard accompanying her.
She responds to the player trespassing and being in a hostile area, contrary to most of the elusive targets in the game. In the mission, she has eyes on the bodyguard disguise. During a Target Lockdown sequence, she and her body double will run to the house's panic room, along with their respective bodyguard leaders.

- Dame Barbara Elizabeth Keating is the only Elusive Target to be showcased in Hawke's Bay.
- As with all new elusive targets, The Politician has a unique gameplay twist. In this case, the target has a perfect body double and it is 47’s job to decipher which is the target and which is the fake. Eliminating the fake, like with any non-target kill, will decrease your score and void the Silent Assassin rating.
- Despite the briefing indicating that Jacqueline Vicar committed suicide in her office, Barbara's intel states that she died in a car accident. This is most likely an oversight.
- In the mission briefing, the person who is accusing Barbara is called Brith A. Nielsen, which is a reference to Britta Nielsen, a social worker who stole over 121 million Danish Crowns (18,207,990 Dollars) from the Danish Social Agency. She is from Denmark, like IO Interactive.
