The Baseball Bat is a weapon introduced in Hitman: Blood Money, appearing in every game since.
Description[]
Hitman: Blood Money[]
- "SLUGGER Baseball Bat - The perfect hit"― In-game Description, Hitman: Blood Money
It is a wooden, hard bat that can be used for silent kills away from other NPC's.
It has only one execution movement in which Agent 47 strikes the bat at the target's head, and then finish off by hitting them on the cranium. If seen in the player's possession it will cause immediate alarm in all NPCs and draw a hostile reaction from any guards, despite being a piece of sporting equipment, and not an obvious weapon. .
Hitman: Absolution[]
- "A wooden baseball bat."― In-game Description, Hitman: Absolution
The baseball bat functions like many other melee weapons. It can be swung into the head of a target, head-on. Against an unsuspecting target from behind, it can be used to strangle them. Alternatively, it may be thrown and used as a distraction.
HITMANTM 2016[]
In the 2016 reboot and its sequels the bat reappears as a non-lethal weapon that will pacify (knock unconscious) targets. It can be swung from close range or thrown at the victim. There are several variations of the bat, identical except in appearance. The bat will be recognized as a weapon by bystanders, and cannot be legally carried in non-security disguises without arousing suspicion. The only exception is the New Bat, which can be carried legally with the Clown Outfit.
