Blue Seed Pharmaceuticals, also known as Blue Seed Agriculture or simply Blue Seed, is a British pharmaceutical company and Providence asset.
First introduced properly as the antagonists of the Agent 47: Birth of the Hitman comic series, they are frequently referenced in HITMAN™ 2 and HITMAN™ III, as part of Diana's past.
History[]
In 1989, one of Blue Seeds' facilities outside Surrey sprung a chemical leak and poisoned the nearby water supply, giving some of the locals cancer that ended up killing 80 people. Diana Burnwood’s brother, James Burnwood, was one such victim. Shortly thereafter, Diana’s parents relentlessly pursued litigation against the company, but they ended up losing the case. Despite grounds for a retrial, Blue Seed refused to compensate the victims in any way, and instead of going to the retrial, they used their Providence connections, and had Diana's parents killed with a car bomb at the hands of Agent 47 and Subject 6.
Diana would then dedicate most of her teenage life trying to making Blue Seed pay, entering the criminal underworld, learning how to kill or making others kill for her, and taking down several Blue Seed executives one by one.
By the 2019 Global Innovation Race, Blue Seed has their own racing team, and are a prominent sponsor at the event.

Trivia[]
- During Freedom Fighters, Penelope Graves refers to them as "Blue Seed Agriculture" and confirms their connection to Providence.
- They're largely controlled by Carl Ingram and the Ingram Family.
- The Trailer for Hitman 2 shows the Blue Seed team racing in Miami, and indeed there is a driver, Trevor Jones, taking autographs near the front gate. However, in the released game, the team does not have a garage, the team are not racing and are confined to the front entrance, alongside the car being put on a podium. This may have been a late change in development, as the scoreboard after the race shows the team "Blue Seed" in the results, the announcer over the tannoy still mentions Trevor as if they were competing, and NPC conversations mention the non-existent garage near Team Kronstadt.
