The Burial Dagger is a melee weapon introduced in HITMAN™ 2. It functions identically to the multiple other knives found in the trilogy, being an illegal lethal weapon that can be used at close range or thrown.
In The Ark Society, when possessed while wearing the burial robes, the dagger allows the player to initiate the funeral ceremony and impersonate the corpse of Janus, who holds the dagger on his chest as he reclines on the slab in the center of the circle of standing stones. While lying on the slab and pretending to be dead, Agent 47 can eliminate any of the mourners as they approach to pay his or her respects, although doing so before the final mourner will result in others witnessing the murder.
