The Camera is a unique new tool introduced in HITMAN™ III. Unlike other tools, the camera is a permanent fixture in Agent 47's inventory and does not take up a loadout slot. It is a premiere gameplay feature for the third game in the World of Assassination series and has multiple functions such as unlocking doors and of course, taking pictures.

- Some personal cameras were meant to be included as items in the original trilogy but were either cut, or rendered unusable for the player.
- Suspect Camera - Used exclusively in Freelancer mode to identify syndicate leaders.
Trivia[]
- The Camera can be used to hack into security protected electronic systems such as doors and terminals.
- Sometimes this function needs to be augmented with USB Dongles in order to access higher privilege levels in more secure areas.
- It is required for multiple mission stories in which it used for unlocking specific locations or for taking a photo of a particular NPC as it is equipped with enhanced facial recognition.
- The camera can also be used in mission stories that require the investigation of clues. Such clues will be marked on the map with a camera icon. When an intelligence item requiring photography is seen in the camera's view, the item(s) or feature will be designated by a blue hue.
- HITMAN™ III also obtained a requested featured in Photo Mode with the introduction of this device as taking a picture will remove the HUD and store an image in the photos section of the players default image library on their computer.
