Charles Vanderblathe is a Dutch Shipping Billionaire and investor. He only appears briefly in the Elusive target's mission briefing.

The Chameleon[]

Prior to is death, Vanderblathe made millions with his shipping business and his investments in VB Trust International, the largest privately held hedge fund in Europe.

He is featured in uncovering the Militia Operation found on a laptop in Colorado.

History[]

His murder in Keizersgracht, Amsterdam was staged as a suicide, which allowed Richard M. Foreman, a highly skilled actor, impersonator and infiltrator, to slip into the role of Vanderblathe.

Foreman participated in two annual general meetings and hosted a reception at the Vanderblathe estate in New England. During this time, he siphoned around hundred million dollars from the Vanderblathes' accounts and spent it on dubious projects in Sub-Saharan Africa.

After that, he vanished suddenly, leaving the family to face charges of insider-trading, a highly illegal crime.

Trivia[]

  • His family name is a reference to the Vanderbilt family, a Dutch-American family that had success with shipping and railroad construction in the late 19th century and was one of the wealthiest families of all times.
  • Neither his first name, nor his surname are Dutch, despite his nationality.
  • He owns a estate in New England, similar to the real Vanderbilt family, which possessed estates in Rhode Island and Upstate New York.
