Chen Ting is a minor character in End of an Era mission in HITMAN™ III.

About

Chen Ting is an employee of the ICA Headquarters. She is hired as the facility's official tour guide, and is also assigned to organize private facility tours for VIPs and other special guests.

Location

She can be found standing in one of the tables inside the restaurant, talking to Angus Pritchard, one of the Board Members working for the ICA. Going near her proximity inside the restaurant will also trigger the Certainty Principle mission story.

Eventually, she will be working in one of the workstations at the facility's Analysis Area, located at Level -2, after she accompanies 47 for the tour.

Behavior

As Chen Ting introduces herself as Mr. Pritchard's tour guide, she will try to understand and listen to his concern, and will apologize for the mishap that he encountered during his flight on the way to Chongqing. As he tells Chen that he left the form, she will unfortunately not let him join the tour without the form.

After her conversation with Mr. Pritchard, she will head to the stairs in the back of the restaurant kitchen. She will be talking to Huimei, one of the workers inside the facility to start looking files related to Mr. Pritchard's visit, and Chen somehow intimidates her that she does not want to get reported to Imogen Royce.

Facility Tour

The facility tour of Chen officially starts if 47 is able to get the P41 form disguised as Mr. Pritchard, and she will tell him that he hoped enjoying the food he had. After that, Chen will now begin the tour by passing through the Facility's entrance at the back of the restaurant. She will tell even him how a dumpling cook enters on their way to work. As she is greeted by the facility 's AI, she will be told to go to the security's desk to do a visitor sign-in. When entering the facility, she will also how she loves its design concept, that it is built in a way that it can be easily disassemble by itself, in case the facility will be compromised by intruders.

By the time they reach the visitor's entrance, Chen will tell 47 to meet her at the other side of the frisk and that there are no exceptions on not being frisked by the facility's security. While he is being frisked, she will give the P41 form to one of the security personnel that he will be part of being engaged in the zero protocol. She will also be explaining about him requiring an ID analysis as the tour is ongoing, and by then Olivia Hall will sort of panic on what it means.

As Chen escort 47 inside the Vetting room, she will apologize again that they cannot go forward to the building unless 47's ID analysis has been fully verified. He will also be given by Olivia 60 seconds to intercept the data by allowing her to hack one of the laptops inside the room. After the ID analysis becomes verified, Chen will inform that his clearance was able to come through. She will be escorting him and will tell him stories about the different sectors and work values the facility tries to accomplish.

Chen will end her tour with 47 as she escorts him to Imogen Royce to continue the tour with her this time. She will now proceed to the Analysis Area, and will stay there indefinitely.

Personality

Chen Ting has a sharp and an authoritarian approach with everything that she says. She follows strict etiquette and is true to form by complying with all of the facility's rules without any hesitations. For instance she will not let Mr. Pritchard join the facility tour without his P41 form, since he has left it inside his apartment.

She is also very strict with complying for everyone to get frisked, including special guests that will enter the facility. She will insist that there are no exceptions with the player not getting frisked.

Trivia

• Chen Ting has a personalized voice message, as she is welcomed by the facility's AI, when she enters the facility's secret entrance with 47 disguised as Angus Pritchard.
• Pacifying or killing her will instantly fail the Certainty Principle mission story.
• She does not suspect 47 impersonating Mr. Pritchard, as well as wearing his disguise at all, despite having a very different look.
• During her wait for Pritchard, she will have phone conversations with various people. Two of them are fellow ICA employees that she discusses paperwork with, while one is her mother that she apparently lives with and is worried about her working late at night despite her being 24 years old.
