Cherry Donuts is an American coffee and doughnut company that appears in Hitman: Absolution. It is mentioned in Hitman: Damnation as well.

History[]

In Absolution the shop appears to be very local and is visited by both the Chicago and Hope police multiple times. During the events of Absolution the shop is only seen through a box of a dozen of doughnuts. In Shaving Lenny, we get to see the Donut chain location. Inside it appears to be very familiar and similar to any typical doughnut location. The location was currently being operated by Nancy Christiansen.

Upstairs is full of boxes and multiple stacks of papers and files in which are used as storage. Outside of the shop are multiple posters and signs promoting the location. After the events of Shaving Lenny, the shop goes back to only appearing as box props/poster promotions.

Behind the Scenes[]

Originally in Concept Art the location was across the street from the junkyard house. In the final version of the game however it's rather across the street from a business titled "Misty Moments".
- Concept Art also shows that the gigantic doughnut prop on the top of the building was held by a support beam with the logo's text appearing on the doughnut itself. In the final version of the game the support beam is removed in favor of a metal frame/stand as the text is moved to the outside of the doughnut.
- Nancy's model is an exact reskin of Lucy Hough with minor differences.

The doughnut chain was planned to re-appear in HITMAN™ but was unfortunately cut for unknown reasons.

Trivia[]

Inside of the location are multiple posters of the Chips Bowling Alley logo.
Apparently two male civilians appear as guards for the location. If the player is seen going upstairs they will immediately tell the Hope police officers.
Cherry Dounuts is a clear reference to the real life variant Dunkin Donuts.
