"Pure fun for the whole family"
The original slogan for Chips Bowling Alley

Chips Bowling Alley is a bowling alley that was cut before the final release of Hitman: Absolution. It was located in the small town of Hope, South Dakota.

Overview[]

The bowling alley was originally going to take place during the beginning of the end of Skurky's Law. The level had fully modeled bowling staff members and animations of people bowling. Relating to the story, 47 would enter the alley as ICA soldiers would rappel from the ceiling windows trying to kill 47. There was even concept art of 47 being allowed to go into the back of the bowling alley where pinsetters were located. Sadly the level was cut due to story changes and scope changes.

Fate[]

Although the map was ultimately scrapped from the game, it does still remain in the final version of the game. In the level "Streets of Hope" during the chapter "Shaving Lenny" in both the upstairs shop of "Green Mountain Convenience Store" and the downstairs of "Cherry Donuts" will be posters of Chips Bowling Alley with it's slogan.

In the level "The Arena", there is concept art of the entrance of Chips Bowling alley on a picture frame in the back room area.

Trivia[]

  • It's unknown what the staff of the establishment looked.
