The Crossbow is silenced, long range weapon featured in Hitman 2: Silent Assassin.

Description[]

The weapon consisting of a bow mounted on a stock that shoots projectiles, often called bolts or quarrels. The medieval crossbow was called by many names, most of which derived from the word ballista, a torsion engine resembling a crossbow in appearance. It fires its own Bolt ammunition, and is practically silent when fired. Like all weapons in-game, being seen with it without a disguise will cause guards to open fire. The scope has a 3x zoom.

Location[]

Usefulness[]

It is the weakest of the six sniper rifles in the game as it cannot pierce multiple enemies and it takes multiple shots to kill someone, but it is lethal if shot at the head.

On the other hand, this weapon is almost completely silenced. The Crossbow can be called the worst sniper rifle in Hitman 2: Silent Asssassin because it's the weakest sniper rifle (as mentioned before), carries only one round at a time, its ammo can only be found at Hidden Valley and Redemption at Gontranno (if the player owns the weapon). It also reloads slowly.

  • It is one of few weapons to only appear in it's debut game.
