The DAK X2 Covert is an SMG introduced in HITMAN™ 2. Like the unsuppressed DAK X2, it is based off of the MAC-10 submachine gun; The suppressor is a typical pistol suppressor whereas the MAC-10's suppressor is much thicker at the base and thins out at the muzzle.

Trivia[]
- This submachine gun is notable in that it is compact enough to be smuggled into the "Hidden Stash" agency pickup locations that can only contain small items. It is concealable on the player's person and thus can also be brought into a mission using the gear slot ordinarily reserved for handguns.
- "DAK" is short for "DAKKA", onomatopoeia for the sound a machine gun makes. It was first used by the comic 2000AD in their Judge Dredd feature. It was borrowed by Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 to be an Ork word for automatic fire (i.e., "we needs more DAKKA").
