- ―Dale McCormick
Dale McCormick (Also known as Alpha) is a minor character seen in Hitman: Absolution. He appears in the level "Mansion Ground Floor" during the mission "A Personal Contract". Dale also serves as a non-lethal target within the game as well.
Overview[]
Dale McCormick is a very responsible and strict young man. He cares deeply about protecting Diana Burnwood and Victoria and doesn't want anything bad happening to them. In the level "Mansion Ground Floor" we can first see Dale gathering a small group on mansion guards and telling them that Diana is in the shower in the upstairs along with Victoria who is in her room upstairs. Breaching any procedures or protocol will result in their immediate termination and subsequent blacklisting. Dale will tell them that if they fail in guarding Diana that they will never work as a mansion guard again.
Dale will go by an entertainment center containing records and CD's and get a call on his radio from another guard, being told that the guard "Greenbourne" is sleeping. Dale responds angrily, telling him to fire Greenbourne for sleeping on the job. After the previous call he will get another call and tell the guards that he doesn't want anyone to enter the gardens. Once both calls are over, Dale will walk over to the wet bar and take a couple sips of his coffee. Dale will go back to the entertainment center and get another call, apparently a truck driver got his truck stuck in a ravine after he "had an accident". Dale asks the guard over the line if the driver has explosives and tells the guard to get two other guards to check out the truck. Dale will repeatedly go to the entertainment center and have a call on his radio about either Diana/Victoria or something relating the guards. He will then go back to the wet bar and drink from his coffee.
The Players Actions[]
Agent 47 is supposed to get the only keycard that is being carried by Dale. There are at least two unique ways for the player to get the keycard without just walking up to him and subduing him.
Sleeping Pills[]
Like Francoise Munguia, Dale can be subdued with sleeping pills. If the player was to retrieve the sleeping pills and spike Dales coffee, he will comment on how his "ulcer" didn't like that cup. He tells the other mansion guards to stay sharp and tells them, stating he has "business" with gate security. Dale will slowly walk down the hall behind the wet bar and at the end of the hall he tells himself he'll only sit for a moment, before he goes unconscious dropping both his keycard and JAGD P22G.
Opening the Window Blinds[]
If the player was to go to the upstairs part of the mansion, there will sit a button. This button activates the large blinds to the windows which results in the guards stating its a nice view. Dale however will have differing opinions. Depending on the dialogue, Dale will state that the blinds will no matter what stay closed at all times. He will always go upstairs and close the blinds, thus making it easier to subdue him.
