  • The tutorial mission introduces the player to the game's main mechanics; it is linear and is more restrictive than other missions; the player must follow a guided tutorial to complete the level.
  • Notoriety is not in effect in the mission.
  • There is no briefing; instead, there is a guidance menu.
  • No intel is available.
  • The rating system is active, but there is no mission results screen; the rating is only visible in the newspaper.
  • Collected weapons will only be added to the Hideout collection if stored in the ICA crate containing the RU-AP Mine on the terrace.
  • In the theater, a divorce lawyer sent by the wife of Joseph Clarence - Andrew Chiseler - is held hostage and questioned by a gangster. If the gangster is not dealt with during their dialogue, in the end, he kills the lawyer setting him on fire. His death will be included in the death toll in the newspaper.
  • The Silent Assassin is achievable by ignoring some tutorial instructions - rushing past specific combat locations and disregarding the chemist's disguise. Multiple NPCs will see Agent 47 and open fire, but because the level is intended to be beaten disguised, they will not count as witnesses.[1]
  • Oddly, the chemist's disguise does not grant access to the drug lab.
  • Upon reaching Scoop's lounge, a gangster informs Scoop of an intruder - Agent 47 - on the premises. If 47 does not immediately engage Scoop and the gangsters, Scoop kills a gangster for failing to do his job guarding the park. His death will be included in the death toll in the newspaper.

Bugs[]

  • In the intro cutscene, the newspaper that reports on the Ferris wheel incident has a date of January 19, 2005, while the mission is dated January 9, 2004, a year and ten days before. In the audio, a news reporter mentions: "5 years passing since the incident," which means that it occurred in 1999, five years before. A 2005 date is most likely the developer's oversight.

Trivia[]

47 saves Andrew Chiseler.

  • The level was the only mission available in the Hitman: Blood Money demo.
  • The level has 36 NPCs, including Clarence, the same number of people killed by the malfunctioning Ferris wheel.
  • Andrew Chiseler seemed to get to the park entrance with his car despite the pier being closed and inaccessible.
  • The rap song played on the radio heard in the theater backroom is made up from quotes of the level's gangsters.
  • In an outro, the headline of the newspaper Mark Parchezzi III reads always says Silent Assassin regardless of the achieved rating.
  • There is a calendar with a photo of the exterior of the Pine Cone Rehabilitation Center from Flatline in the room of Joseph Clarence's secretary Carol Anne.
  • In the theatre, a giant face of Satan is on the wall, identical to the mask Anthony Martinez wears in A Dance with the Devil.
  • A TMP with 666 bullets is hidden in the trash in the courtyard between the theatre and the gift shop.
  • The female workers in bikinis working in the drug lab are likely a reference to the 1991 crime film New Jack City, where women were forced to work naked to prevent them from stealing from the crack lab.
  • The mission's title references the play Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller.
  • Copies of the newspaper seen after beating the level can be found inside the Safehouse in HITMAN™ III's Freelancer mode.
