The Double-Barreled Shotgun is a shotgun first introduced in Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, and featured again in Hitman: Contracts. A version with a shorter barrel and stock, the Sawn-Off Shotgun, is also featured alongside.

Description[]

The Double-Barreled shotgun is a standard 12-gauge, break open shotgun which holds two shells at once. It inflicts massive damage at close ranges but has its damage output reduced quickly when fired at ranged targets. Its build in-game has a wooden butt stock and engraved trigger guard. In both appearences, the shotgun cannot be concealed. Unlike most shotguns of this type, the two shells are not fired simultaneously.

Trivia[]

  • The model of shotgun in-game appears to be based off of the Stevens 311A shotgun.
  • In both appearances, the shotgun is considerably rare, only showing up in one mission per game.
  • Firing this weapon in a room with sleeping NPCs will cause them to glitch and skip the animation of getting up, instead immediately fleeing the room.
