Duffy is a minor character who appears in Hitman: Absolution. He only appears in the level "Chinese New Year" during the level "Hunter and Hunted".

Overview[]

Duffy is a very strict man. However usually deals in illegal business. In the level "Chinese New Year" during the long chapter "Hunter and Hunted", Bill Dole arranged a meeting with Duffy inside a basement so he can grab a police records file on Birdie. The file itself is located on a table near him. Once Bill arrives he asks about the file. Duffy confirms that the file is by the table and that Birdie is like a ghost with barely any records. Duffy tells Bill that the file itself will cost a fortune but Bill brushes it off stating his boss doesn't care about the money.

Bill will notice HX UMP's and C4 behind Duffy. Of course, Bill will be surprised and impressed jokingly stating he would like to purchase everything and that the weapons would come in handy. After looking at all the weaponry, Bill grabs the file and thanks the officer for lending him a copy of Birdie's file.

The Players Input[]

Stealing Birdie's file[]

If the player chooses to steal Birdies file, Bill will notice that it is no longer on the table, calling out Duffy. In a panic, Duffy would honestly tell Bill he has no idea where it went. Bill angrily asks for his money back but Duffy refuses angrily. In response, Bill draws his JAGD P22G on the officer however, Duffy was quicker. As Duffy shoots and kills Bill Dole. He calls his friend Donnie telling him the deal was a bust and tells him to get his van so they can hide Bills body so they both don't get in trouble. As Duffy hands up he walks out of the basement.

Trivia[]

  • Duffy was a kill-able target in the Contracts Mode for Absolution.
  • Duffy's name could be based off the Welsh singer and songwriter Aimee Anne "Duffy".
  • Before hanging up the phone on his friend Donnie, Duffy tells him that when they dump Bill Doles body, that they do it again "correctly". This could mean Duffy and Donnie got into another deal that turned into a bust as well.
