The Elite Guard refers to two disguises available in HITMAN™ 2, located in Santa Fortuna and the Isle of Sgàil. While they share a name, there are major differences in appearance and degree of uniformity between the two. Both uniforms grant the player significant freedom of movement on their respective maps.
Worn by the high-ranking guards protecting the tunnel network and the submarine in Three-Headed Serpent and Embrace Of The Serpent, the Delgado Cartel's Elite Guard disguise comes in several variations, all of which consist of a rather arbitrary mix of military and civilian clothing, which may or may not include such features such as cargo pants, bandannas, jungle hats, ski masks, military load-bearing vests, military pistol belt (often with a canteen worn on the front, oddly) and army plate carrier vests. Another type of Elite Guard also appears in The Ark Society, guarding bothtargets, the Constant and the council members. This uniform is standardized among all guards, consisting of a dark formal suit, a blue-hooded shoulder cape with the Ark Society's logo emblazoned on it, and an elegant mask.
In Three-Headed Serpent the disguise allows 47 to enter a large number of restricted areas: Elite Guards have access to the altar cave, basement of the bar, cartel hangout in the town, exterior of the coca plantation, hippo enclosure, Martinez’s Compound, power plant construction site and the tunnel network. When this disguise is equipped during the mission, Jorge Franco can see through it, particularly when he makes a deal with the Hippie in the smuggling cave, or if you roam around the coca fields when equipping this disguise. In contrast, he will not be able to see through 47 wearing the Coca Field Guard disguise, which are mainly his own guards.
In the Ark Society the Elite Guard disguise grants access to the whole map except for the sewer and the stage in the lower courtyard, making it arguably the most useful disguise in the mission.
