The Radio is a melee and distraction weapon in Hitman: Absolution, and a distraction in the World of Assassination Trilogy.

Hitman: Absolution[]

Radios can be used in several different ways. Firstly, they may be used as a melee weapon by smashing it into a target's head, breaking it in the process. Next, it may be manually placed and subsequently activated, forcing the nearest NPC to investigate and turn it off. Alternatively, it may be thrown and used as a distraction. Please note that if it is thrown (not dropped), it will break on impact.

Radios in HITMAN™ can no longer be used as a melee or throwing weapon, though it still can be thrown as a distraction, where it no longer breaks.

Variants[]

  • As of Hitman 2, there are 5 main types of radios found in missions. The transistor radio which looks vintage in design with it's analog dials, the basic radio simply marked as "radio" that looks like a modern and digital replica of a vintage radio with a digital tuner, a clock radio and a rare portable radio seen in Dexy's room in Bangkok that 47 can use as a weapon. There is also a stereo system radio most commonly seen in Colombia, particularly in the Delgado estate. Some radios including a rare boombox in the sleeping quarters in the caves of Santa Fortuna cannot be interacted with at all.

  • The Radio is a rare weapon in that it does not show up in HITMAN™ 2's or 3's missions, though it still appears in the Legacy Pack.
