The French Foreign Legion (FFL; French: Légion Étrangère Française) is a military service wing of the French Army established in 1831, unique because it was exclusively created for foreign nationals willing to serve in the French Armed Forces.

In the Hitman universe, Agent 47's five genetic fathers served together in the French Foreign Legion from 1950 to 1955 during the Indochina War (1946-54).
