Trivia[]
- The skin and entrails of the fugu fish have the toxin tetrodotoxin, which is over 100x more toxic than cyanide.[1]
- The game treats fugu poison as a regular lethal poison. In real life, however, the tetrodotoxin inside a fugu fish causes paralysis, causing anyone who consumes it to suffocate. A victim can survive fugu poisoning if they receive immediate medical attention, which GAMA is able to provide.
- In The Finish Line, a bodyguard on the expo building's garden rooftop states having survived fugu poisoning after being treated by KAI. As Erich Soders is currently on the operating table, it can be inferred that Yuki Yamazaki would have died since KAI would be needed to treat her.
- Any knife can be used to cut the fish open, not just a kitchen knife. Shurikens and swords cannot be used.
