Héctor Delgado is the brother of Rico Delgado and former lover of Andrea Martinez.
Background[]
Hector is in love with Andrea Martínez, they broke up primarily because he cheated on her with the Gomez twins and he became addicted to cocaine. Héctor recently completed a stint in rehab, however. He recently wrote her a letter to try to win her back, which one of the mansion guards stole from his room to spare him of embarrassment. If the letter is returned, he will give the combination to the safe of Rico Delgado in Rico's office, where Rico's pistol can be found.
Héctor will walk to the cartel's office in town to deliver the letter to Andrea, pleading with her to come back to him. She will send him away, but go to the balcony and read the letter. (The player can also place the letter there themself, though doing so is an illegal action, as Andrea does not want to hear from him.) Héctor will then walk to the path by the river below the office.
If the player pushes Andrea off of the balcony as she is reading the letter, Héctor will see her fall and assume that she has committed suicide. Despondent, Héctor will return to the mansion and use some cocaine before going upstairs to kill himself by jumping off of the balcony (this will not count as a kill and will not affect the Silent Assassin rating, all NPC's will ignore the body, even Rico Delgado).
Don Fernando Delgado was Martinez's uncle according to her in-game profile, which would make Héctor and Andrea cousins (albeit possibly only step-cousins, if Andrea's father married into the Delgado family after Andrea was born).
The Finish Line[]
Héctor initially appears in The Finish Line. He can be found in the VIP Area of the Thwack Lounge paddock, talking to Salman. He also carries a cocaine brick around. If he is knocked out or killed, the brick will fall and be destroyed.
The Turms Infatuation[]
Héctor appeared in Santa Fortuna as a target in The Turms Infatuation in all levels 1-3, where he can be killed by using the Letterbomb Parcel.
The Envy Contention[]
He also reappeared in Mendoza as one of the featured targets in the 7 Deadly Sins escalation The Envy Contention in level 1. He can be killed by any type of accident.
Trivia[]
- Héctor canonically survives the events of Three-Headed Serpent, as he is mentioned to likely take over the Delgado cartel in a news report in Chasing a Ghost, which is confirmed in a discussion by two partygoers in The Farewell in HITMAN™ III.
- Héctor's appearance is strikingly similar to Fredo Corleone from The Godfather, who is also a member of a crime family that is seen as generally incompetent.
- In Mendoza, partygoers are talking about how Héctor is now the drug cartel leader in Santa Fortuna. He became the leader by default after Rico was murdered.
- According to them, Héctor believes that his brother, Martínez and Franco were assassinated, and has started purging the cartel's members for answers, resulting in many of them ratting on each other and escalating the war against the Moreno cartel.
- He is one of the minor characters in the World of Assassination trilogy that has appeared in more than one Escalation.
