A cheat or cheating generally refers to either a cheat code that is hard-coded in the engine, or a separate or modified application (often called a hack or cheating hack) that allows a player to play with an unusual advantage. This article lists several cheats that can be used in Hitman: Contracts. Cheats come in several types.
Personal Computers[]
Key-based Cheats[]
These cheats are activated by simply them out using the keyboard during play. In order to use them, you have to be sure cheats are enabled (see below).

Console Cheats[]
To enable the console to enter the following cheats, you need to go to the root folder of Contracts, and find a file named "Hitman.ini." Open the file, and enter "EnableConsole 1" at the bottom, and for precaution, "EnableCheats 1," and save the file.
After the configuration has been made, run the game, and during a level, press the tilde key (` and/or ~) to open the console, and the player can enter these cheats:

Trivia[]
- Some unusable equipment in the game will appear in your inventory when you use the giveall cheat.
- The Cardboard Tube cannot be unlocked in any other way than by using the cheat mentioned above. It can appear on the weapon menu of the PS2 version, but will never appear in the inventory.
- Applying the Skip Level cheat whilst in Training will cause the player to unlock every weapon in the game, so long as they have scored a Silent Assassin rating. The prompt is the same as any unlock prompt, but the place where the weapons name should appear is blank.
