The Hope Corn Elevator (also known as the Hope Grain Elevator, Grain Elevator/Corn Elevator and the Hope Gorge) is a location cut from Hitman: Absolution. It was reworked and became the level/location "Cornfield".

Overview[]

After the release of Absolution two art-books were created. The Professional Edition and the Standard Issue Art Book. The Professional Edition version features the Corn Elevator next to an early farm concept and an early version of the McGarmond's Gun Shop. In the official Art Book there is the exterior and an exclusive interior.

The original Art Book shows us that originally, the location served as a temporary hideout for The Saints as their early iteration of their Transport Bus can be seen outside of the location. Concept art of the interior of the Corn Elevator is shown which showcases that it is in flames and falling apart. This implies a firefight between 47 and the Saints could've taken place. The exterior showcases the building to have been abandoned/forgotten. A school bus is seen outside with tire tracks and open doors.

Fate[]

Despite the concept of a Corn Elevator level being scrapped the idea remained in the final version of the game. In "Attack of the Saints" in the distance are a few differing vacant Corn Elevators in similar designs. The old worn water tower was featured in the final game near the farm house where LaSandra Dixon is located.
