The ICA Facility is a secret training facility of the ICA, located in the mountains of Greenland. It is the destination for the prologue missions in HITMAN™, set in 1999.

Background[]

The ICA facility is where recruits are trained to become ICA agents. Located in an abandoned silo high in the mountains, the facility is able to accommodate simulations of past missions for recruits to test their skills; in HITMAN™ the simulated locales include Sydney, Australia as well as Cuba.

The underground complex is accessible through a helipad large enough to support a large transport helicopter, which Agent 47 is seen arriving and departing on. The simulation room where the missions take place is a vast, circular, high-domed metal chamber that can contain a wide variety of props and temporary structures, allowing the agency to create customized training scenarios. Hundreds (perhaps thousands) of support personnel work in the facility to create complex training and testing courses for prospective agents and to evaluate their performance.

Trivia[]

  • Storyboards and comments by Io-Interactive's Travis Barbour have confirmed the location of the facility to be set in Greenland, though in-game files inconsistently designate it as taking place in Siberia.
  • It is implied that the Training Area from Hitman: Contracts is located in the very same place as both are surrounded by snowy mountains, although that location was described as being in Romania.
