Diana Burnwood (VO): "Good afternoon, 47. Your target is notorious magician and hypnotist Basil Carnaby. In the 1960's, Carnaby attracted the rebellious youth of London's upper class to his side with his own brand of pseudo-mysticism. He would then hypnotize them and order them to rob their wealthy families on his behalf. He stole millions, entirely by proxy.
By the time the police finally caught on, Carnaby had absconded to Nepal with a group of spiritualist pilgrims, and subsequently disappeared. However, one of his old victims recently recognized a well-aged Carnaby doing a mentalist act for the locals on the streets of Mumbai. Having obtained a life of comfortable obscurity, it seems he just can't keep his hands out of other people's pockets."

Description[]
Agent 47 has been contracted to eliminate Basil Carnaby, a magician and hypnotist who has been hiding for decades.
Carnaby gained notoriety in the 1960s, when he gathered a loyal following of young fans whom he hypnotised into stealing from their wealthy parents. After stealing millions, Carnaby vanished to Nepal without a trace. Decades later, one of his old victims has spotted Carnaby in Mumbai up to his old tricks. 47 must infiltrate Carnaby's home in Mumbai, and eliminate him for good.

Target Lockdown[]
When target lockdown goes into effect, there are two locations within the chawl that Basil Carnaby will retreat to. He will either stand beneath the northern staircase on the bottom floor or head upstairs to the Kashmirian's apartment.
Trivia[]
- If you are wearing your starting suit, you are actually allowed in the chawls, although guard checkpoints will still count as trespassing if ignored. This may be an oversight, although it has remained in HITMAN™ 2 & HITMAN™ III for years.
- This is the only Special Assignment which locks out areas normally accessible in the standard mission for that location; in this case, Rangan Tower is closed and empty, and the set is stripped, although some collision remains. Thus, there are no Bollywood Crew or Dawood Rangan himself on the map.
- It is unclear when this mission takes place. It may take place before Chasing a Ghost, considering the Maelstrom and Vanya Shah are still present on the map, and the fact that it is unknown if 47 undertook any missions with the ICA between Chasing a Ghost and his encounter with Lucas Grey. However, Karan Dhar, AKA the Kashmirian, appears in The Crows hideout, which he only became a member of during the events of Chasing a Ghost, with the help of 47, which involved the assassination of Vanya Shah.
