Icon-Objective

The Infected is a secondary objective that both appeared on two missions in the Patient Zero Campaign mission, The Vector and Patient Zero in HITMAN™.

Description[]

The infected are NPCs in the game that have been contaminated with the Nabazov Virus. These are people that were struck by the virus from not containing the situation at a proper pace.

The Vector[]

The ICA soon tracked down more viral samples at a militia compound in Colorado, so Bradley Paine used the virus on a few militia soldiers. He wanted to help the Liberation cult spread the virus and do his best to hinder the CDC's ability to contain and combat the virus' infection rates.

Agent 47 infiltrates the militia compound again on a nearby water tower and assassinates Bradley Paine along with four infected soldiers at the compound using a sniper rifle.

Patient Zero[]

Soon after, the ICA intercepted a memo which indicated that Japanese local authorities detained Owen Cage before a flight to Sydney, Australia, and fast-tracked him to GAMA.

Cage was detained after passengers noted that he was ill and performing an unusual religious ritual. All evidence indicated that he personally infected himself in order to become the virus' patient zero and a martyr for the cause.

A Weaponized Virus[]

"These notes show the doctor's exploration with the weaponized virus' infection rates and lethality. He believes it to be intended to attack built up areas such as cities, while leaving sparsely populated areas relatively unaffected. He seems to admire the craftsmanship."

Trivia[]

  • In Colorado, if an explosion or a massive accident occurs, at least one of the infected militia will attempt to escape the farm.
  • NPCs in Hokkaido that are contaminated with the Nabazov Virus are already considered as permissible targets.
  • The player cannot leave the facility without containing the virus inside GAMA's compound within the day.
  • Klaus Liebleid is strictly instructed to not leave within the premises of the hospital's facility grounds.
