Jack Roe (also known as one of the "The Procurers" and "Jakob Ro") is a cannibal chef and an Elusive target in HITMAN™ III. He appeared in the mission Death in the Family.
Background[]
An only child, born and raised in Brooklyn to a single mother, Mr. Roe was never particularly good at school and as soon as he could, he dropped out. Always interested in good food (his mother was an excellent cook), he decided to attend culinary school, where he turned out to have quite a gift in the kitchen.
Receiving an apprenticeship at a famous London restaurant, he moved to England, where he met a Danish waitress, Rikke Mose, and they Immediately fell In love. When his tenure was over, the happy couple moved to Denmark—where a new culinary explosion was about to happen...
Roe was at first skeptical of this new Nordic Cuisine-It was simple, yet complex and the philosophy that almost everything could be eaten if prepared correctly appealed to him, especially as there was so much waste in other kitchens. He became obsessed, resulting in the couple splitting up, forcing him to return home to Brooklyn.
He opener up a small restaurant "Sæhrímnir". focusing on this exciting new cuisine - but there was little interest. It was too abstract. Desperate to get customers, he changed his identity to "Jakob Ro, Danish Chef". It was all it took. It appeared that it he CAME from Scandinavia, then it must be the real thing.
He soon became the talk of the town. He expanded his business and before he knew it, he was on every talk show, magazine covers etc. His business became a brand - expanding to multiple restaurants, catering service and a line of store products. But then everything took a turn. His ex-girlfriend, Miss Mose, suddenly appeared, demanding a cut of his fortune, or she would reveal who he truly was. The argument turned violent, resulting in the unfortunate accidental death of Miss Mose. Desperate and not knowing what to do, he decided to dispose of the body in...well, a more creative way. Let's just say, Miss Mose was a success with his diners-so much so, that Mr. Roe had a plan. Why waste if the people love it?
But Mr. Roe was no murderer: Miss Mose's death was an accident. However, people die every day. He could get what he wanted without hurting a fly (physically at least). What he needed was a like-minded partner to supply him, no easy task. However, having to return to England to attend the funeral of his mentor, it was as if the stars were aligned. It was here he met a timid embalmer by the name of Mr. Burk, who he would soon groom to believe in his vision of not wasting... food.Personality[]
Jack Roe takes on the Jakob Ro persona and poses himself as an eccentric professional of refined tastes. In reality, Mr. Roe is a man obsessed with the idea of food waste, willing to anything in order to be successful in his business. Mission dialogue suggests that he is a calm man with self confidence, pointing out to himself that "everything is going so smoothly" as a reaction to his partner's concerns.
He may have been violent if contradicted in the past, as shown in the target info, when he killed Rikki Mose in a rage attack. It is unknown whether if this was a single incident or if it represents a trait in Mr Roe's past personality. The target was introduced as the Hitman 3 Elusive Target for Gluttony, so the theme is recurrent during the mission and represented through Mr Burk's obsession on not wasting "food".
Should Robert Burk be killed in his presence, he will regret the affect on his business rather than the loss of his associate.
Jack spends most of his time on the ground floor between the kitchen and the dining room. He will occasionally get stuck in the kitchen where he stands in front of his plate in the kitchen and fails to follow his AI cycle. In this event, it may be necessary to distract, pacify and hide nearby NPC's in order to obtain a silent assassin rating.

Trivia[]
- Jack fakes a Danish accent when talking to people such as Gregory Carlisle, but has an American accent when talking to himself. Robert will tell him to drop the accent during their meeting.
- Known as Jakob Ro in the game's food industry, he has two signature Nordic dishes: a pistachio-crusted rack of lamb, served with a honey mustard sauce and a black pig braised in strawberry mold and elk's blood, served with mushrooms in a wild garlic broth.
- Jack dislikes the idea of wasting food and will eat from the dish he is serving Gregory from the kitchen.
- He drops a pack of confiscated cigarettes when unconscious or killed, which can be used to replace Robert Burk's pack of cigarettes.
- If Robert dies in front of Jack, he will head outside to his van and remain there until he is killed.
- Due to an oversight, Jack's name is listed in the credits instead of his voice actor, Derek Hagen.
- Same goes to Robert and his name listed on the credits as well.
- He is one of the two Elusive targets with a pen name, the other being Adeze Oijofor a.k.a. Nne Obara.
- He is one of the two official Elusive Targets featured throughout the Season of Gluttony.
