John Valencia (also known as Agent 43 or Grunt 43) is a minor character that is introduced in HItman: Absolution. He appears in the mission "Operation: Sledgehammer" during the second segment "Outgunned".
Overview[]
In "Operation Sledgehammer" outside the Hope Courthouse, Benjamin Travis has sieged the small town of Hope to find and terminate Agent 47. While the Agency temporarily resides in the town many ICA grunts and grunt captains coordinate there plans and tactics with each other. One of those captains is Cpt. Valencia in which he tells another grunt, (Sean Hopper) to setup sentry posts in the designated areas and to have 4 teams to search the nearby builds in sectors 5, 7 and 12. Then have them commit a Standard A-16 pinch maneuver which will flush the assassin out like a fink. Sean calmly informs Valencia that his men have the Couthouse and street under complete control.
Valencia tells Sean that his men could be fiber wired and dumped in a dumpster easily and tells him to stay vigilant and not to underestimate the assassin as it'll be the last thing he does.
Trivia[]
- John Valencia was a kill-able target in the Contracts Mode for Absolution.
- If committed correctly, John and Sean can both ironically get killed with 47's fiber wire. Doing so will require him to terminate all other grunts around them.
- The tablet used by John is later used by both Vincent Tooms and Hurg Derpos.
- John will only attack the player if spotted however it is very easy to not get spotted as he and Sean are constantly focused on the gathering information on the ICA Tablet.
