Kirsten Petersen, also known as Dr. Hei, is a minor character in End of an Era and The Splitter missions in HITMAN™ III.
About[]
Kirsten Petersen or Dr. Hei (Mandarin = 黑博士) is a Researcher working for Hush in The Block that is currently assigned to examine various records of Fuo Luoyang, as well as the rest of Test subjects inside the Test Pods that are being operated in the Benchmark Lab.
Several years prior to this, she was an associate of the former ICA assassin Max Valliant and served as the lead biochemist on his scientific project. She spent nearly a decade attempting to recreate a research project that Valliant had encountered in Romania. After Valliant's team seized control of the ICA Data Facility, Dr. Hei completed the project by successfully creating several clones of Max Valliant.
Later on, she was instructed to escort Angus Pritchard alongside Agent 47 and Craig Jones to a meeting with Max Valliant.
Behavior[]
She can be found being on the watch with the functioning Test Pods, standing in front of the laboratory's rack servers. From time to time, she will be approached by Sister Lei, as she is asked to give feedback about the performance of sector 9H on the test pod.
Kirsten objectively informs Sister Lei that there was a small margin of error that has she encountered, such as a few parameters of the patient's impulses were not aligned correctly, despite being at a divergent stage of the process. She is told to calibrate the memory mapping of his mind to not waste time and stick the impulse suggestion on his mind. She also promises to her that it will not happen again.
In another conversation with Sister Lei, she states how surprised she is when she has realized how Hush can implement various notes throughout the benchmark test, which other researchers are not capable of doing it.
Personality[]
She can be observed as calm and collected while she is doing her job. She will eventually panic if one or two of the Test Pods near her proximity has been sabotaged by 47. In case they are sabotaged, she will approach to manually reset it.
After she fixes it, she becomes relieved and does not want to be burdened by both Sister Lei and Hush anymore. If she attempts to fix the sabotaged test pods, she will be frustrated with how Hush needs to show his presence just for the sabotaged test pods to be fixed again.
