Kolzak was recruited by the Federal Protective Services, after only a few illustrious years in the local police force. During his stint in the FSO, he participated in [REDACTED]. During a routine investigation, he refused an order to open fire on civilians and was subsequently stripped of his ranks in the FSO and sentenced in a life in the Siberian gulag. Reports of how he escaped vary, but several guards and prisoners are still unaccounted for. Kolzak is a good storyteller, but his recollections often contradicts past tales told.
Kolzak's reputation gained notoriety from his escape from Siberia. This led to freelancing contract hits for client requests alone by his efficiency and convictions on a hit. Kolzak is eventually recruited by the ICA under Initiative 426, The Shadows.
