- A security dongle. It likely belongs to Dalia Margolis' laptop.
Acquisition[]
This particular dongle is located on the top floor in the palace's attic storage room that has been converted into a command center by the CICADA security operatives. In Professional difficulty it is lying on top of one of the storage crates near a bank of monitors. On Master difficulty it is carried by the CICADA operative who is working on a tablet near the entrance; he must be pacified before the dongle can be acquired (a nearby circuit breaker box that can be tampered with is suitable for this purpose.)
Use[]
The dongle is used to gain access to the laptop that runs the IAGO auction. Inserting it into the laptop in Dalia's office will disable the server and shut down the auction, which will have two noteworthy effects. Dalia's secretary Hailey will come to investigate and, unable to repair the system, will panic and flee the palace, along with the guard on the balcony outside. Dalia Margolis herself will eventually enter the office to reboot the laptop, presenting the player with an assassination opportunity.
