Trivia[]
- The vial is a small bottle containing 500mg of the fictional compound "FataLIDOMIDE". The vial's label indicates the poison is produced by the Ether Biotech Corporation and provides information about the chemical's effects upon ingestion. The label also displays a skull-and-crossbones symbol, alluding to the chemical's poisonous nature.
- The full effects of the poison are listed on the vial's label, indicating the poison "Causes instant death, through asphyxiation. Handle with caution."
- The label also indicates the chemical is intended for intravenous (IV) use, which suggests it is the same poison used in the Modern Lethal Syringe.
- Once contaminated with the lethal poison, the poisoned item will instantly kill the next individual who ingests it. As with other poison eliminations, targets whose bodies are found after succumbing to the poison will not compromise a Silent Assassin ranking. However, 47 must successfully administer the poison without entering a suspicious state in order for the rank to be retained.
- Curiously, in HITMAN™ III, if the player transferred progression from HITMAN™ 2 and had already acquired the Lethal Poison Vial, after obtaining the new version from Berlin they will now have two identical versions in their inventory in all but graphical, as the latest version comes with a new model and textures.
- Typically if items are reintroduced to newer levels, they will have different names and descriptions (usually as mark 2 or 3 variants) thus making them their own items, where as this vial (alongside its sedative and emetic versions) does not.
