Lighten Up is a Challenge in HITMAN™ and HITMAN™ 2, introduced in the Scarecrow challenge pack.
Objective[]
- Assassinate 3 targets by burning them while disguised as the Scarecrow.
- Each assassination must be seen.
- You must be spotted in the disguise.
- Return to an unseen state after each assassination without changing your disguise.

Notes[]
- Due to the challenge requiring you to eliminate targets, it is highly recommended that you attempt to complete the challenge in a community-created contract, rather than the Freedom Fighters mission.
- On your platform of choice, search for the contract title "Lighten Up".
- While each assassination must be seen, the target themselves will witness their own death. You are not required to burn the targets in sight of others.
Walkthrough[]
- Disguise yourself as the Scarecrow.
- Assuming the contract you are playing on has targets in close proximity to oil drums or fuel tanks, lure them next to one by throwing a coin and ignite them after revealing yourself.
- Assuming the contract you are playing on does not have targets in close proximity to oil drums, consider performing the steps required to complete the Wicker Man challenge.
- The Wicker Man challenge is an easter egg. After shooting four specific bells across Colorado while disguised as the Scarecrow, any NPC in close proximity to Agent 47 will spontaneously combust. While requiring a small amount of setup, this easter egg is perfect for completing Lighten Up. Simply activate the easter egg and gain the attention of your targets before approaching them.
