- "I just saw Dom. He said if I didn't entertain his friends, I'd be going to Hawaii!"
- ―Lydia to Christine and Deane
Lydia Montiel is a minor character that appears in Hitman: Absolution. She appears in the second segment "Vixen Club" during the mission "Hunter and Hunted".
Character Information[]
Hawaii or Bust[]
If the player was to sit and listen the conversation starts with Lydia sitting on a stool being upset telling two other strippers (Deane Rudy and Christine McCray) about talking about the Derelict Buildings Hawaii Room. She will sob and mope on how Dom Osmond wants to take Lydia to the Hawaii room, asking both coworkers if Hawaii is really bad. Both will feel terrible for her and give her advice to not let them think they own her and to think about positive things.
However thanks to Agent 47 Dominic was assassinated in the lower levels of the club, meaning Lydia won't be abused (like Laurie) or killed with a billy club like Amber.
Trivia[]
- Lydia Montiel was a custom target for the Contracts Mode in Absolution.
- It is possible to throw a bottle, metal pipe or fire extinguisher on the right side ceiling. If done, only Lydia, Deane Rudy and Marilyn Brown will get alerted. If Lydia is sitting on the couch she will go upstairs to check the noise rather than the ceiling. This is a common tactic used by players if she was ever a custom target.
- Lydia has the same star tattoos just like Sierra Selvaggia seen across the club in posters or simply in Hitman: Sniper Challenge.
- Similarly to Sindy Shrubs, it is implied that Lydia is fairly new to the establishment.
- Lydia's stripper model is unique as its used for a prostitute seen earlier in the game with the only change being they're wearing a short skirt. However around the club exists two other alternate models of her however they're seen through posters only.
