The MI6, also known as the Secret Intelligence Service (SIS), is the principal intelligence agency of Great Britain. It is the foreign intelligence counterpart to the UK's domestic security agency MI5.

In 2019, MI6 received an anonymous tip from the Shadow Client informing them that IAGO, a secret black market spy network, had managed to steal a list of every non-official cover (NOC) agent and planned to sell it to the highest bidder. This prompted them to hire the ICA to assassinate the ringleaders of the spy ring, Viktor Novikov and Dalia Margolis, in retaliation for the theft.

MI6 was created in 1912 by Commander Mansfield Cumming as part of Britain’s initiative to coordinate intelligence activities prior to World War I. The abbreviation “MI6” denoted that the agency was “section six” of military intelligence, with other sections concentrating on more specialized fields. Despite its name, its members are not part of the armed forces, and the agency itself reports to the UK's Foreign Office. MI6 collects and analyzes intelligence from around the world that may affect British affairs. It operates spies in foreign countries and has the ability to run counter-terrorist or covert operations against threats to the United Kingdom.
