Ma's Boys (also known as Big Mama's boys, 47's Sinners or Ma's Sons) are three minor characters & targets cut from Hitman: Absolution. The three would've appeared in the earliest iteration of the mission "Shaving Lenny".
Overview[]
In Hitman Absolution: Full Disclosure, an unfinished animatic by Martin Madsen was made, titled "Wrath of Hitman: Sinners" which was also posted on Madsen's Vimeo account[1]. In it we see a glimpse of Hope, South Dakota and its various residents. This eventually led up to Agent 47 arriving and getting into a brutal bar fight.

The boys armed head towards the bar on Liberty St to stop the assassin.
During the fight, the bartender calls Big Mama's three sons to help take down the assassin where we learn Big Mama originally had sons during development. Despite 'Ma' pleading with the three sons, they ignore her & head to the bar down Liberty St, where the lead brother fires a warning shot from his M590 12ga.
From there, 47 kills the boys and other witnesses through use of Point Shooting. But as Ma sits on her porch, she see's 47 looking at her and watches him walk out of town.
Fate[]
According to Madsen, the animatic trailer was never put into production by Square Enix. He also admits to making multiple versions of the trailer. It was very close to being greenlit but was ultimately cut, with Ma later being scrapped from the game entirely in 2011.
In the final game, although Ma is mentioned, the Boys are actually still mentioned by minor character; Edward Kelly and were reduced into background unseen characters like Ma[2]. According to him while speaking with Joana Collins, the Boys returned to Hope from 'the city' to visit Ma which is why she's more active.

Trivia[]
- In the concept animatic trailer its never implied if the Bartender or a civilian called the Boys. The trailer also implied the Bar was originally on Liberty St. However no bar exists on the street in the final game. Its implied that Webster's Saloon from the mission 'Operation Sledgehammer' was originally in the mission 'Shaving Lenny'.
- Its more implied that the Boys & bar-fight serve as one of the first iterations of the mission 'Welcome to Hope' as 47 can cause a shootout or barfight inside the bar. However the Great Balls of Fire was always intended to be a sidebar a couple miles out from Hope.
