Maps are tools with which one could orient themselves in a location. They were introduced as digital references to 47's current location Hitman series with Hitman: Codename 47 and have appeared in almost all games in the series afterwards.

Below are maps for individual games in the Hitman series.

Hitman: Codename 47[]

The debut of the map is a rather primitive one where only approximate locations are shown. Only 47 is the only person shown, every npc is not.

The icons on the map are as follows:[]

NPC and other:

  • Green circle - Agent 47
  • Dark blue circle - extraction point
  • Dark green circle - an important thing (e.g. a jade figure) and V.I.P.
  • White circle - Vehicle (train)

Other icons:

Exclamation mark - point of interest.

Firearms - weapon stash (note that not all places with weapon stashes have the icon displayed on the map

Man stumbling into hole - sewer access point

Lader with flames - fire escape, non interactable (found in Kowloon Triads in Gang War)

Padlock - locked gate (found in Gunrunner's Paradise)

Arrows that ascend or descend - staircases

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin[]

Maps in this game do not differ much in appearance. The difference between this and the previous game is that from this part of the map they have a gray color and slightly smaller circles now show all NPCs in different colors, including enemies, VIPs and targets.

The icons on the map are as follows:[]

NPC:

  • Flashing green circle icon - Agent 47
  • Orange pin icon - enemy
  • Dark green circle icon - innocent
  • Blue circle icon - police/guard
  • White circle icon - V.I.P.
  • Flashing red icon - target

Other icons:

  • Yellow flashing exclamation mark icon - Point of interest
  • Blue electric lightning icon - generator
  • Red insignia icon - Agency pickup

Area signs:

  • Dark red color - restricted area
  • Light gray and dark gray colors - walls

Icons of other objects:

  • Ladder icon - ladder
  • Sewer descent icon - sewer hatch
  • Square moving elevator icon - elevator
  • "Exit Point" inscription - Exit point

Hitman: Contracts[]

In this game the maps have changed a lot in terms of clarity, the wheels are also slightly larger, in addition they have more icons including vehicles.

Hitman: Blood Money[]

In this part of the game, the maps are very similar to the previous part of the game, except that the colors are brighter and an optional target icon has also been added.

The icons on the map are as follows:[]

Green - 47

Red - main target

brownish red - optional target.

Orange - guard

Blue - police

white - VIP

grey - innocent

Exclamation point - point of interest

ladder - ladder

elevator - elevator

rounded rectangle - vehicle

Hitman: Absolution[]

In Absolution there's no openable big maps. As an alternative only a minimap in the lower left corner serves as player's position reader.

World of Assassination[]

In WoA, both the large map and the minimap (same location as in Absolution) are preserved. On the big map the levels, objectives, discarded suitcases or disguises, exit points etc. are shown, while on the small map the obstacles and NPCs are shown. When someones can see through Agent 47's disguise or is lured, his/her mark on the minimap will turn white from black point.
