Max Valliant (also known as "The Splitter") is a former agent of the ICA and an Elusive Target in HITMAN™ III, appearing in the The Splitter mission.
Background[]
But power, he realized, could be wielded in more ways than one. Playing multiple sides, manipulating his targets, Valliant's games soon became a dangerous liability for ICA. When they uncovered his double-dealings, ICA took swift action, eliminating their top agent... or so they thought.
Now, he's back, and this time, the ICA's very foundation is under threat...Description and Behavior[]
He starts on the middle level of the ICA Data Facility, waiting for Angus Pritchard, Agent 47, and another ICA agent to arrive. Before Pritchard's arrival, he will talk about how he suspects the ICA of sending an agent to eliminate him and his clones. Once his guests show up, he begins the negotiation, explaining his research project and presenting his clones, who are then added to the targets Agent 47 has to assassinate.
Valliant then leads the group through the level, starting with the training area and proceeding to a machine designed to test the clones' agility. Next, they visit the shooting range, where Valliant demonstrates the clones' accuracy by holding a golf ball above his head for them to hit successfully. Agent 47 can replace the ball with an explosive one, taking out Valliant when the clones shoot it. If Valliant is still alive, the group moves to his favorite room, the dojo, where 47 can engage in combat with one of the clones.
If the clones for a destination on the tour have been eliminated already, Valliant will simply skip that step and proceed to the next one with no dialogue. The exception is the clone in the dojo, number 6. Valliant will react negatively to that clone being missing as Clone 6 is his personal favorite.
After the tour, Valliant heads to his office with Angus to discuss business, offering his clones in exchange for full control of the ICA. When Angus refuses the offer, Valliant sends him to another room to think about it. Following this, Valliant makes a phone call and starts a repeating route: sitting in a chair, doing yoga on the floor, and unsuccessfully trying to call a client back on his phone. While he is at his table, Agent 47 has the opportunity to eliminate him with a pen.
