- "Oh my god, holy fucking shit! Hey, I found something. I dunno it's like an altar or something...it looks like..."
- ―Chicago police officer towards police chief
The Missing Person Shrine (also referred too as an altar) is a shrine located in the tunnels near the Roxy business in Chicago. It appears in the mission Hunter and Hunted during the first segment "Courtyard".
Description[]
It is unknown whom organized all the candles and missing posters. Sadly, it's never mentioned who started it at all. It is known that the missing persons all went missing during the events of Hitman: Blood Money, Damnation or before the events of the series. It is mentioned by a Chicago police officer that they would send in some units to check up on the shrine the following day.

Trivia[]
- Many differing missing posters have spelling/grammar errors for unknown reasons.
- Both Kariise Anne and Sharon Burbank have very little information.
- John Smith's name is later re-used for a genetically enhanced operative assassin under the same name.
- Simone "Van" Horn's picture used in the missing poster is re-used in the Contracts Mode for Absolution, however for another character being Jessica Holly.
- Ellen Hamilton wasn't planned to appear as a missing character. The picture used is a character in the game. During the mission "Operation: Sledgehammer" inside the church is an elderly woman with the exact same model as Ellen.
- The missing posters appear later inside the hope Courthouse levels as well. Implying this was a big deal in the states.
- It is unknown if the bodies/persons were ever found.
